Bullet Baba Temple

Located near the village Chotila on the Pali road about 50 km from Jodhpur in Rajasthan, Om Banasthan, or the Bullet Baba Temple is a dedicated sanctuary in Om Bana ji. Om Banaji was the son of a village leader who had died in a motorcycle accident about twenty years ago. Occurrence of a series of paranormal events after his death left the local people to this belief, and they planted the same motorcycle to him like a deity in this same place.
Bagga Ram, who was his first follower, still regularly plays the harmonium in this shrine since it was built. Although, far from the room, this sanctuary regularly sees a steady flow of visitors that mostly consist of trucks, Buses and taxi drivers offering prayers and small offerings of liquor as they pass.

Located along the busy Pali-Jodhpur highway, the sanctuary has developed a mini-economy with more than a dozen shops offering offerings such as flowers, incense, camphor, turmeric, kumkum and other relative memorables as key-chains, necklaces, charms, rings, audiotapes, VCDs and Om Bana photos.
