Day 01- Cochin Airport – Cochin
On your arrival at Cochin airport and reach the hotel. Later in the evening enjoy performance of the highly ritualized “KATHAKALI” dance that narrates stories from the ancient Hindu epics – Ramayana and Mahabharata. Performances begin with the application of elaborate makeup, based in traditional Ayurvedic principles. After local sightseeing, you will check-in at your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02- Cochin Sightseeing – Cochin
After breakfast proceed to Cochin sightseeing which includes, Kerala Folklore Museum, it is the only architectural museum in Kerala with the essence of the life and culture of the common man over the past 1000 years. It is also a cultural hub which contains, Face Art Gallery’- for Art & Antiques, ‘Folklore Theatre’- Live performances of traditional art forms & cultural activities, visit Spice Art Cafe to experience the real culinary taste of traditional Kerala and ‘Souvenir Shop’ to buy real ethnic antiques and tribal artifacts.
ST.FRANCIS CHURCH (St. Francis Church was originally named as Santo Antonio. It is the first church to have been built in the new European influenced style and tradition. After the sightseeing of St. Francis church, we will proceed to the FORT COCHIN AREA and start our walking tour through the mouth of the Cochin Harbor covering the FORT AREA, CHINESE FISHING NET and SANTACRUZ BASILICA (The name Santa Cruz Basilica bears a special significance for the Christians residing in the south-western peninsular city of Kochi, as it celebrated the dawn of Christianity in the enigmatic land of India. Legend has it that the Santa Cruz Basilica has been stoutly standing its ground for a mammoth 500 years that is a spectacular feat in itself. Although the Santa Cruz Basilica had suffered ugly bruises at the hand of the robust British invaders in the year 1795, it continues to dazzle the on-lookers with its indelible charm and unparalleled charisma). Day 03 – Cochin – Alleppy (DayCruise) – Alleppy
After leisurely breakfast check out from resort you will be proceeding to Alleppey on arrival you will Embark your HOUSE BOAT for a day cruise of Allepey (Traditionally known as KETTUVALLOM, which means a boat made by tying together pieces of wood. Incredible may sound, not a single nail is used in the making of a Kettuvallom. Jack wood planks are joined together with coir rope and then coated with black resin made from boiled cashew nut shells. Today, these giant 80 feet long crafts have been adapted into luxuriously furnished houseboats. A Kettuvallom usually has one, two or three bath attached bedrooms, an open lounge, deck, kitchenette and a crew comprising oarsmen, a cook and guide). Evening drop at hotel , overnight stay at Hotel
Day 04 – Alleppy – Kottayam Sightseeing – Alleppy
After breakfast proceed to experience the real village life of kerala. Kumarakom is a cluster of small picturesque islands around the Vembanad Lake. The village is well acclaimed for its backwaters, delicious cuisine and lush greens. Your journey begins with country boat you can view the way of climbing the Coconut Tree, the real taste of tender coconut , net fishing, bow and arrow fishing, art of weaving coconut leaves and Coir making. Afternoon spend the day at leisure. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 05 – Alleppy – Munnar
After breakfast proceed to Munnar ,tucked away in sunny, tropical Kerala is a cool green paradise, away from heat and dust, state`s finest Tea plantations, the best Hill station of Kerala. Watch the spectacular beauty of Tea Gardens, enjoy the nature, where the cloud turns into mist. Some major sightseeing activities in Munnar are visit to Eravikulam National Park originally established to protect the Nilgiri tahr (Nilgiri Ibex), considering the ecological, fauna, floral, geo-morphological and zoological significance, it was declared as a National park in 1978.
Tea Museum is India’s first ever tea museum. It also gives firsthand knowledge to tourists about tea processing and the operations that go into the making of black tea. There is also a tea tasting demonstration room with a variety of teas on display. Stay overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06 – Munnar – sightseeing –Munnar
After breakfast proceed for the full day sightseeing of Munnar. You can choose to visit some touristic attractions like Mattupetty dam: As you come down the hill, you come upon a picture book scene of still water glowing in the setting sun, with Silent cluster of gum trees on either side. Kundala Lake is a picturesque place, about 20 km from Munnar on the way to Top Station. It is at a height of 1700 meters above sea level. Echo Point is a scenic place that got its name from the natural echo phenomenon found here. The location is situated on the way to the Top station. Top Station (32 Km) is renowned as the Trans shipment place for tea, which came from Munnar and Mattupetty by railway and then was sent down by ropeway to Kottagudi during the British rule. It got its name, as it was the uppermost place with a railway station on the Kundala Valley railway.
Afternoon we are giving you the opportunity to know Kerala with your taste buds. Our chef teaches the nuances of aromatic spices, herbs and fresh ingredients of Kerala. Before Dinner its time to enjoy a camp fire with music and dance , stay overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07 – Munnar – Cochin Departure
After breakfast checkout from hotel and transfer to Airport at Cochin for your onward journey.
