The astounding beauty of Kashmir is well known to every traveller. The pristine lakes, fertile valleys and remote, snow covered peaks have a magnetic appeal for trekkers. At the onset of the trail you will witness thick temperate forests of pine, as you gain altitude you will cross jungles of Morinda spruces, pindrow firs and Deodar trees.
As you ascend to an altitude of 11000 ft. you would be greeted by expansive lush green meadows dotted with shrubs and wild flowers. These high altitude grasslands are nestling the crystal clear lakes flanked by snow-covered mountains.
The gurgling streams, numerous valleys and forests of Maple lead you to Shekdur, gentle but rocky terrain will reach you to Nichnai with spell binding views of snow clad peaks.
The journey continues to Alpine lake before Nichnai pass. After crossing grasslands covered with wild Iris flowers you will reach Vishansar lake.
Further descend in the valley leads to Gangbal lake. Finally you will arrive at the heritage site and picturesque village of Naranag. The fast flowing stream enchants this location.

Day 01 – Srinagar – Sonmarg
Pickup from Srinagar latest by 2 pm. Today your drive from Srinagar to Sonmarg, a scenic drive with amazing views of lush green fields and snow clad mountains. Stay overnight at Sonmarg.
Day 02 – Sonmarg – Nishnai
After early breakfast you start your trek through Pine and maple tree forest. These are gentle climbs and you enjoy the scenic beauty around here. Following the playful brook and meadows lined with thick Maple forest you reach Nishnai crossing picturesque view of snow clad ranges at Shekdur. You have reached at 11500 ft height today. Overnight in camp.
Day 03 – Nishnai – Vishnusar
After early breakfast you start for a little longish day today. Today the gentle trek will turn arduous, as you will be crossing Nishnai pass and a little rocky terrain. The enthralling terrain will captivate your senses and leads you to Vishnusar lake. Stay overnight at camp.
Day 04 – Vishnusar – Kishansar
Spend an easy day acclimatizing and exploring twin lakes Vishnusar and Kishansar. Walk around the wild flower strewn meadows enjoying the soothing sound of water. Stay overnight in camp.
Day 05 – Kishansar – Gadsar Pass
After early breakfast you start trekking away from Vishnusar lake towards Kishansar lake nestled near the ridge. Today you cross Gadsar pass, as you climb the gradient on a narrower path view the captivating view of twin lakes below. Stay overnight in camp.
Day 06 – Gadsar – Satsar
After early morning breakfast you start walk towards Satsar lake crossing the gushing mountain stream. Following mountain trail you reach mountainous grasslands surrounded by towering mountains and will cross Gadsar pass at 13750 ft. Crossing the ridge you see the first of seven Satsar lake. Camp overnight.
Day 07 – Satsar – Harmukh base – Nandkhol Lake – Gangbal lake
After early breakfast you start your trek from Satsar, the glacial water body towards a rocky terrain leading to ridges. The trail ascends for some distance and the as you see the stream coming down a meadow it starts descending towards forest.
The breath taking view of twin lake greets you. On your way down you pass the base of Harmukh peak and Nandkhol lake. As you descend further for some time you are greeted by the sight of Gangbal lake. Camp overnight.
Day 08 – Gangbal lake – Naranag
After breakfast you start your trek towards Naranag, the heritage site. On your descend from ridge to the meadows studded with carpet of yellow flowers you will pass through beautiful Pine forest.
Exploring ancient temple site at simpering mountain stream is just soothing to senses. Over night at Naranag village
Day 09 – Naranag – Srinagar
After breakfast leave for Srinagar for onward journey.
