Day 01: Haridwar – Govindghat

Start early from Haridwar to reach Govindghat. On the way visit Dev-Prayag confluence where Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet to flow as Ganges. Reach Govindghat by evening, check in into the hotel/Homestay for overnight stay and dinner. (Transport from Haridwar to Govindghat can be arranged on request.)

Day 02: Govindghat – Ghangaria

After an early breakfast starting the trek. The trek commences as you cross the bridge at Govindghat, there is a gradual ascent along a well maintained trail to Ghangaria. After covering 14 kms along lively Bhyunder River you reach Ghangaria and check into hotel/Homestay. Explore the Gurudwara and local market in the evening. Stay overnight at hotel/Homestay.

Day 03: Ghangaria – Valley Of Flowers

Make an early start today after breakfast for reaching Valley Of Flowers (3858 m). The freshness greets you at the gate itself, the lush greens studded with quaint flowers presents a mesmerizing sight. Gushing small streams, freshwater falls and glaciers make an interesting walk. After an easy walk all day in emerald green forest dotted with colourful flowers makes you fall in love with this picturesque valley. Tonight relax in hotel/Homestay after dinner.

Day 04: Ghangaria – Hemkund – Ghangaria

Today the day starts very early as you have to return at 2pm from Hemkund glacier. After breakfast trek to Shri Hemkund Sahib (4329 m) from Ghangaria. This is quite a steep climb. The Sikh Guru Gobind Singh in a previous life had meditated on the shores of a lake surrounded by seven snow capped mountains now recognized as Hemkund, the Alpine lake. After walking on glacial gradients you reach the sacred Gurudwara of Shri Hemkund Sahib perched on the banks of glistening Lake. Late afternoon trek back to Ghangaria. After a tiring but satisfying day relax at hotel/Homestay after dinner.

Day 05: Ghangaria – Govindghat 

After breakfast trek down to reach to reach Govindghat, refresh yourself at the banks of Bhyunder river that follows the trek avidly. Rest and rejuvenate at Hotel/Homestay and enjoy the dinner.

Day 06: Govindghat – Haridwar

Enjoy the lazy morning and explore local market. Mid morning start the drive back to Haridwar. (Transport from Haridwar to Govindghat can be arranged on request.)
