Thiruvananthapuram Central is the main railway station in the city of Thiruvananthapuram (formerly Trivandrum) in the Indian state of Kerala. It is the largest and busiest railway station in Kerala in terms of passenger movement and the second most important rail hub in South India. It is also the most profitable station under Southern Railway Division. The building of the railway station is one of the landmarks in Thiruvananthapuram. Thiruvananthapuram Central is also a terminating point for the proposed Chennai – Bangalore – Thiruvananthapuram High Speed Rail (HSR) corridor and the Thiruvananthapuram – Mangalore High Speed Rail corridor by the Indian Railways. The railway station located opposite to the Central Bus Station Thiruvananthapuram at Thampanoor.
