Wanla Monastery

Ladakh is a “tea house trek” is, despite the name, hard work, because of the strong and frequent nods and falls. Its highest point is 3750 m (unusually low for Ladakh), passing through the frequent villages, allowing the traveler to sleep in guest houses or people’s houses every night. It is a good introduction to trekking in Ladakh, and how to acclimate to the height. The main attraction of this hike is the hamlets with very well made houses, good farmland, the mountains and the views of the steps are relatively unimpressive.
