Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is oldest and largest National Park of Maharashtra and is one of India’s 41 Tiger reserves under Project Tiger in 1994-95. This unique ecosystem is part of rich Tadoba Pench wildlife corridor. Tadoba forest reserve comprises of Southern Tropical Dry Deciduous Teak forests with viable tiger population of 40+ tigers. This mega Bio Diversity site is situated in the Central Plateau Biotic province in Deccan Peninsula Bio geographic zone.

Tadoba Tiger reserve area constitutes an ecosystem with wide variety of flora and fauna including avi fauna. The increased tiger and other prominent animals sighting has made this National park popular among wildlife enthusiasts.

Tadoba Andhari National Park, the tiger reserve is located in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. The park got its name from the tribal God worshipped in this region, Taru or Tadoba and the river Andhari running through this region. The area was used for royal hunting sport by the Gond rulers. Andhari Wildlife sanctuary was formed in 1986 by combining nearby area, expanding the park area to 1727 sqkm.

Learn about Tadoba Wildlife Park, concept of Forest conservation. Interaction with Forest Conservation Team. Visit the charming butterfly park housed in open air pasture enclosed with dense forest area. Understand the role of these beautiful creatures in ecology.

Record the breathing life of Tadoba National park during the morning evening expert guided Safari. Understand the morning and evening activities of Forest, wildlife activity and vegetation of Vidharba region. Prepare presentations and observation sheets on you project on Wildlife. The three safaris will be conducted in the three core zones of this forest reserve.

Understand the role of water bodies in wildlife and biodiversity supported by it. Go for Lake safari in speed boats with Avi Fauna expert and senior wildlife researcher. An official from Forest department will address you and best teams will be given badge of honour for presentations. All students will be given participation certificate.

Nature walk in buffer zone will bring you closer to vegetation and forest. Closely observe the sounds of nature. On return trail collect the trash and contribute to Swatch Bharat Abhiyaan, get suitably rewarded for it.
