Spiti Pin Parvati Trek (10N/11D)

A trek to challenge your mind body and soul. Crossing over two iconic mountain passes of Rohtang La and Kunzum La to picturesque Losar is an experience of lifetime. This challenging trek goes from barren Spiti land to lush green meadows of kullu valley with a stop over at natural Sulphur springs of kheerganga .

Day 01 – Manali – Solang Valley

Arrive at Manali, you will be picked and dropped at Solang valley camp. After freshening up and breakfast we start acclimatization process and prepare you for this arduous trek. Evening enjoy Bonfire, music and dinner at camp. Overnight at camp

Day 02: Solang – Rohtang Pass – Kunzum La –Losar – Rangrik – Mud

Early in the morning, begin a drive from Solang and reach Rohtang La pass, drive to Gramphu. The onward journey is along Chandra river and road asends sharply up till the summit of Kunzum La. Beyond Kunzum pass you reach the Losar village further you drive till Mud crossing Rangrik and Gulling. Stay overnight at Mud.

Day 03: Mud to Tiya

After early breakfast start the trekking expedition from Mud towards Tiya today.  Start trekking uphill from the last village of Pin valley towards the village of Tiya. Camp overnight at Tiya.

Day 04: Tiya – Pin river camp

Start after breakfast from the meadow to the sharply rising gradient leading through rocky patch. As you cover the uneven rocky surface you cross many rivulets leading to a plateau. You will walk upstream following the brook on slowly ascending gradient and reach campsite near Pin River. Stay overnight at camp.

Day 05: Pin riverside Camp – Pin Parvati Pass – Pin Parvati Pass Base Camp

After early breakfast start ascending from snow covered flat land to the top of the mountain and cross Pin Parvati pass. As you cross over you climb down following the glacier, a treacherous field of ice dotted with rocks and lined with crevices. After crossing the glaciated land catch your breath enjoy the scene. After resting for a while trek to in Pin Parvati base camp. Stay overnight in camp.

Day 06: Pin Parvati Pass Base Camp – Mantalai

Wake up early and indulge in some stretching exercise today as what ensues is the demanding section of the Pin Parvati Pass trek, so prepare yourself before commencing it. After breakfast start the trek to glacier moraine dotted with rocks, crevices and ice covered terrain. The downhill journey keeps you focused on the terrain. After an hour of careful trekking you near towards the lake site, Mantalai. Stay overnight in tents.

Day 07: Mantalai – Odi Thach

After indulging in stretching your sore muscles enjoy your breakfast and start trek towards Odi Thach from Mantalai. Walking over the ridge you start climbing down towards another ridge. The rocky terrain continues. The area is strewn with big boulders and rocks keep walking from the edge of the valley to meadow.

After covering an arduous patch rest in camp overnight.

Day 08: Odi Thach – Thakur Kuan

After breakfast start trekking from level ground towards river crossing, the down hill journey. As you cross Parvati river you reach a rocky patch and uneven ground. Stay attentive and careful. Walking carefully you cross over to lush green meadows laden with colourful alpine wild flowers. After all the uphill and downhill climbs the scene ahead really soothes your tired body and refreshes your mind. Relax and stay overnight at camp.

Day 09: Thakur Kuan – Tunda Bhuj

After breakfast start trekking the most scenic and experiential part of this trek. Crossing lush green meadows following the stream you keep walking on almost flat land basking in the beauty and freshness of mountains. You cross over the stream in makeshift cable car and start climbing the lush green land. After a leisurly walk of about half an hour you reach the gurgling mountain stream, cross over to other side on wooden bridge. Start downhill tread and reach Tunda Bhuj. Stay overnight in camp.

Day 10: Tunda Bhuj – Khirganga

After breakfast start walking from grasslands of Tunda bhuj, climb out of the Parvati river gorge. Walking down stream crossing the forest of silver birches and short ascends and descends you reach Kheerganga. Relax your tired muscles in the sulhur water and relax. Today you camp at Kheerganga.

Day 11: Kheerganga – Pulga – Manali

After another dive in the sulphur springs start moving towards Pulga. En-route enjoy walk in Pine forest and scenic waterfalls. Reach Pulaga and from there drive to Manali for onward journey.
