Trek to Everest Base camp is definitely high on adventure.  The Everest is one of the most sought after destination and every trekker’s dream. A trek that gives close encounter with the Everest summit at Everest base Camp. In this trek, you will be trekking to an altitude of 18000 ft. passing through the quaint villages, grassy paths, steep rocks amidst snow-clad peaks.

Experience trekking on the trails where the legendary adventurers and mountaineer like Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary had trekked. Nothing beats the excitement and thrill that holds the travellers on while ascending the Everest and watching it so close.

Day 01: Kathmandu

Check in into Hotel on reaching Kathmandu. Evening time permitting visit Swayambhunath (stupa)/Pashupatinath (temple). Today enjoy traditional Nepali dinner. Overnight stay at Hotel

Day 02: Kathmandu

After breakfast check trekking gear with trek leader. After lunch buy / rent gear / clothing if required. Evening visit Durbar Square which has Kashta Mandap – a three storey temple in old city and being there is an experience in itself. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Lukla

Fly early morning from Kathmandu to Lukla. The trek starts from Lukla  you will meet your Sherpa and porters. Today you begin with a 4 hour easy trek to Phakding. Overnight in Phakding trekking lodge.

Day 04: Phakding – Namche

After early morning breakfast you start the undulating trail and go through two crossings of Dudh Kosi. By noon you reach Sagarmatha National park and make entry after completing formalities. During the second half of the day you cover mostly flat ground and reach Namche Bazar. You catch the first glimpse of the Everest from here. Stay overnight at Namche Bazar.

Day 05: Namche Baazar

Today you will spend time around Namche Baazar acclimatization with short hikes.  Climb high Sleep low is the basic fundamental followed in high altitude zone. After a day hike on planes higher than the altitude of village, spending time at Sagarmatha National park Museum and villages of Khunde and Khumjung return to the guest house at Namche bazar. Enjoy spectacular views of Everest from this location. Stay overnight at Namche Bazar.

Day 06: Namche – Debuche

Today you trek from Namche to Debuche and visit Gompa at Tyangboche, a world heritage site. After visiting the Gompa reach Debuche. Stay overnight at Debuche.

Day 07: Debuche – Pangboche – Dingboche

Today you move from one monastic town to another. You walk for an hour and reach Pangboche which is the oldest Gompa (Monastery) in the region. After spending time at Pangboche continue trekking towards Pheriche. Today you would gain altitude of 4000m(abt13000ft). At this altitude you may experience mild AMS symptoms, you will have to be cautious about it now onwards. Stay overnight at Dingboche.

Day 08: Dingboche

Today rest and acclimatize at Dingboche valley. To acclimatize better you can go for a day hike up to Chukumg valley. Stay overnight at Dingboche.

Day 09: Dingboche – Lobuche

Today you will ascend to 4910m (16000ft), You would be covering the distance to Lobuche in about 6 hours. As you have reached 16000ft you need to be cautious and report any sign of AMS to stay safe and healthy. Stay overnight at Lobuche.

Day10: Lobuche – Gorakshep

Today you will be trekking completely a glacier route. The trek is likely to be moderate to Gorakshep at 5170m (abt 16800 ft) and Everest base camp at 5365m (abt. 17500ft) but the high altitude makes it arduous. You can Everest on the way but will get the full view from BASE camp, the Kumbhu ice fall will be clearly visible. This will be the longest day with about 10 hrs. of trekking. Kalapather elevation is higher than base camp. Trek back to Gorakshep. Stay overnight at Gorakshep.

Day 11: Gorakshep – Everest Base Camp (5350 m) – Lobuche.

Start the day early and hike to Kala Pathar, this is the most difficult part of this trekking expedition but the most rewarding one too. You will have the view of the peak of Everest. After savouring spectacular view of Everest peak descent to Gorakshep. After lunch start descending towards Lobuche, The trek will be relatively simple now with an exception of one steep climb. Stay overnight at Lobuche /Dukla.

Day12: Lobuche/Dukla – Pheriche

Today trek from Lobuche it will be about 6 to 7 hours of easy declining trekking. You will be passing through the amazing Himalayan ranges. Stay overnight at Pheriche.

Day 13: Pheriche – Namche Bazar

Today you will trek downward to Namche Bazar. Stay overnight at Namche Bazar.

Day 14:  Namche – Lukla

Today you will accomplish final leg of this trek. Baring a small incline before Lukla most of the trek is easy and downwards. Stay overnight at Lukla.

Day 15: Lukla – Kathmandu

After successfully completing this super trek you will today fly from Lukla to Kathmandu (subject to favourable weather conditions.)

Reach back to Kathmandu and relax for the day. Indulge in sightseeing or shopping as it pleases you.

Day 16: Kathmandu

Extra day in Kathmandu (in case of bad weather delays in Lukla). Explore culture and monuments.
